James "Jim" Thomas Traiteur, Sr., 85, of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 29, 1938 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Oak Hill Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, Illinois.
Jim was retired from Heimos Produce in St. Louis, MO and was a member of Teamsters Local 688. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. a former Trustee for the Village of Cahokia..He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, 4th Knights of Columbus, Leo Jerome Assembly 1666,; and a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 4596 all of Cahokia, IL.. Jim enjoyed pitching horseshoes, Bar-B-Cue grilling and shrimp boils with his family. He also enjoyed watching his grandsons compete in Corn Hole Tournaments and going to the casino with his companion Patricia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Traiteur, nee Klemann, whom he married on October 10. 1959; his late life companion, Patricia Connelly, his parents, Jess and Lucille, nee DeBourge, Traiteur; and three brothers, Jess, Ca
