Ronald Edwin Redman, 93, of Waterloo, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at The Garden Place Senior Living in Waterloo, Illinois.
Mr. Redman was born on February 19, 1931 in Montebello, CA. He was the son of Edwin and Thelma, nee Haven, Redman. He graduated from Whittier Union High School, Whittier, CA in 1949 and attended Riverside City College, CA, before entering the U.S. Navy in 1951 where he served as an aircraft engine mechanic until being honorably discharge in 1955.
Ron's passion was aviation and he chose Parks College (Aeronautical Technology) of St. Louis University where he received a B.S. Degree in 1958. He was licensed as a private pilot and airframe power plant mechanic. He was employed as a civilian by the U.S. Army as an Aeronautical Engineer upon graduating from Parks. He continued his career as an engineer with the government where he retired in 1992 in Corpus Christi, TX, as chief of the Depot Engineering Office of the Aviation System Command in St.
